10 U.S. missile interceptors on Polish soil? Why? Supposedly this thing is not aimed at Russia. Are they looking to reinvigorate the arms race? Start another cold war? WTF? Putin warned that Moscow will target missiles at the system if it is deployed. Supposedly we need to protect the U.S. and Europe and from possible attacks from Iran. Wouldn’t it be a lot cheaper to engage peace? Maybe think about making sure that people all over the world are fed, clothed, sheltered and educated? You know, a baseline standard for basic human needs? I have a hunch that it would be a much cheaper approach.

If you’ve flown, you’ve experienced it - a loud, crying baby or a toddler who is talking, yelling, screaming or kicking your seat. It is bad enough to be crammed into to a tin can with wings with 200-400 other humans, but to have a baby screaming makes me chuckle considering that we actually pay for it. Some say that people should be visiting the kids, not the other way around. I’m sure there are plenty of reasons to force a kid on a plane. I bet many of you think that kids are people too. If so, then shouldn’t they act it?

HID & Xenon headlights Written on February 3, 2008, by Things I Hate.

I’m sure some of you will belch a volume of reasons for using the utterly distracting blue-white headlights that have officially made their way onto our night roads. Brighter? More focused? Turning more of the night we are all so scared of into day?

What about how distracting they are to other drivers? Is it worth it? I don’t think I know one person who is a fan of them. Of course, Sylvania and other manufacturers blame the distraction factor on misaligned headlights and dirty lenses. Figures.

Can we make the jump to LEDs already?
